Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Nuclear Pulse collects, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable privacy laws.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address and an account identifier, used to sign you in with one-time codes.
• Subscription information: your plan, subscription status and billing dates. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number.
• Your terminal settings: watchlist items and price or event alerts you create.
• Newsletter: your email address and subscription status if you sign up for the newsletter.
• Technical information: standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and request times) kept for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting.

We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and we do not sell your personal information.

How we use it

• to provide the Service, including sign-in, the Terminal, alerts and email briefings you request;
• to manage your subscription and billing;
• to send service messages (for example, receipts and important account notices);
• to protect the Service against fraud and abuse; and
• to comply with legal obligations.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run the Service, who process personal information on our behalf and under contract:

• Supabase — authentication and database;
• Stripe — payments and billing;
• Resend — email delivery;
• Vercel — website and application hosting.

These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.

Browser storage

We use your browser’s local storage for your sign-in session and preferences such as theme, selected terminal desk, recent searches and a local copy of your watchlist. We do not use advertising cookies.

Retention

We keep account and subscription information while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe (we retain a record of the opt-out so we honour it). Server logs are kept for a limited period.

Your choices and rights

• You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email.
• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can withdraw consent to optional processing, by contacting us.
• If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls and row-level database security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will notify subscribers of material changes by email or in the Service.
